Five Star Hunters is a full service boarding and lesson farm with a very busy schedule looking to fill a weekend position. Applicant MUST be able to work Friday , Saturday and Sundays including holidays if needed. Must be 18 years of age or older.
This is NOT a riding position.
Duties include, but not limited to:
• bringing in/turning out horses,
• cleaning stalls, adding shavings
• cleaning and filling water buckets and troughs
• Lifting/moving bales of hay and bags of grain.
• Cleaning/maintenance of the barn, including washing walls and stalls, removing cobwebs and general cleaning.
Applicant must be able to arrive on time, work efficiently, have experience with handling horses, be self motivated and have RELIABLE transportation.
We are looking for a self starter who is passionate about the care and wellbeing of our horses. We are NOT looking for a fair weather worker, or someone who is going to call out at the change of weather or a stuffy nose. You must have grit and be able to work through most ailments. We all rely on one another showing up so our standards are high. The shoes that you will be replacing are big.
