ABOUT US

Lucy began riding at a young age in Perth, Western Australia, and quickly developed a love for horses. As she grew older and returned to the United States, she began competing in local and rated shows across the Southeast. Originally an eventer, she entered the hunter jumper world during high school. While attending The Grier School in Tyron, PA, she competed in competitions for her school similar to IEA and became a member of the IHSA while attending Northwestern State University in Louisiana. 

Her passion for horses and the sport led her to pursue a career as a professional trainer. Since beginning training in 2007, Lucy has trained numerous riders to succeed in the hunter, jumper, and equitation arenas. Her teaching style emphasizes a solid foundation of horsemanship skills, in which knowledge and skill in the saddle can be built upon. 

Above all, Lucy is most dedicated to the health and welfare of her horses, which is exemplified in the design and management of the farm. After all, a happy and healthy horse is essential for success in the show ring.
